Can The Inkwell edit my files?
Yes, we can. There’s no need to involve your creative staff or external designer and
resend last minute changes. The Inkwell can also make certain changes to PDFs.
What should I include when I send files to The Inkwell?
If sending native files, be sure to choose collect for output (QuarkXPress®) or package (Adobe® InDesign®) to ensure inclusion of all fonts and images used.
If you email or FTP native files, be sure to include a low res PDF; however, a print-quality (high res) PDF eliminates the need to send native files, fonts and images.
What are native files?
Native files are files created from applications such as Quark, InDesign, Illustrator®, and PhotoShop®. These files can be edited more easily than PDFs or files in which type has been converted to lines.
How do I send files to The Inkwell?
Files can be burned to CD, emailed, uploaded to our FTP site, or we can download files from your FTP site. Please stuff or zip items before electronically transmitting.
If submitting on disk, please include a laser print along with the CD or DVD.
